fix permissions give an error

Post by simran2642 » Sat Apr 11, 2020 6:45 pm

Hi,

I am trying to run ASAv on EVE-NG that I have installed on GCP. The moment I enter the following command, I see a PHP error. The ASA never turns blue on the topology (Never starts). Could anyone help me please?

root@eve-ng-lab:~# /opt/unetlab/wrappers/unl_wrapper -a fixpermissions

PHP Warning: file_get_contents(/opt/unetlab/platform): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /opt/unetlab/html/includes/init.php on line 71

I too have the same issue and would greatly appreciate it if someone could point us in the correct direction.

I have feeling it has something do with the community edition vs the pro edition.

Code: Select all

root@eve-ng:/opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/vios-adventerprisek9-m.vmdk.SPA.156-3.M2# /opt/unetlab/wrappers/unl_wrapper -a fixpermissions
PHP Warning: file_get_contents(/opt/unetlab/platform): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /opt/unetlab/html/includes/init.php on line 71

You have NOT enabled CPU otpion Intel VT-X/EPT on your EVE VM.
Follow EVE Cookbook. During EVE install you must enable on VM CPU, Intel VT-X/EPT function

I had the same problem with Fixpermissions. I am also getting the Warning: Neither Intel VT-x or AMD-V found. I have selected "Use Intel VT-x/AMD-V for instruction set virtualization and Intel EPT/AMD RVI for MMU virtulization" on the VM. I still get the Warning.
Any thoughts?

I am running on VMWare ESXi 6.0.0.0 Build 5050593
I setup a custom VM and installed from the ISO, [EVE-20171007 .iso]

Virtualization is enabled on both Processors.

I deleted the VM and run the install again today. Same issue.

Any more suggestions?

I could install this on our HyperV cluster and see if it works there.
But I think that would just introduce more possible unknowns

Hyper-V is not supported for EVE because it does not support nested virtualization like VM ware does

Ok, So i got EVE-NG working using Virtual Box on my local desktop. I do not get the Virtual Processor error, and I am able to run the Fix Permissions routine.
I installed the Dell OS10.5.2.2, vmdk's that I have and I am able to get them to run.

I still would like to install this on our VMWare server. So, any assistance on that front would be appreciated.
