Before posting something, READ the changelog, WATCH the videos, howto and provide following:
Your install is: Bare metal, ESXi, what CPU model, RAM, HD, what EVE version you have, output of the uname -a and any other info that might help us faster.

VIRL Image doesnt Start

Post by ctm-tech » Thu Jul 19, 2018 12:45 pm

Hi,
Running Vmware Workstation 14
Community version of Eve
16gb RAM host with 4 Processors 1 core each
Attempting to run the L2 image version at the moment. Have not tried L3.

Followed the guide: http://www.eve-ng.net/documentation/how ... -from-virl
Imported the qcow2 image and then renamed. The image within the labs is accessible - but when i try and start, nothing happens (i get the message to say Switch started) but never actually loads. System resources does not increase when i attempt to start the switch. The switch itself does not change to the blue text you see when a node is started

Made sure that VPCS loads and is accessible (I dont actually have any other images uploaded at the moment as this was my first install)

I've tried reloading to make sure it wasnt corrupt but no joy.
Confirmed that all naming of folder is correct (although the guide does say to use version name after viosl2, but the example differs to the following): viosl2-adventerprisek9-m.03.2017
and filename is correct: virtioa.qcow2
Re-ran fixpermissions multiple times to confirm.

Stuck as to what could be wrong. Any suggestions?

Managed to resolve this by redeploying the entire VM image.
