Cannot boot any Linux machine on EVE-NG (New here)

Before posting something, READ the changelog, WATCH the videos, howto and provide following:
Your install is: Bare metal, ESXi, what CPU model, RAM, HD, what EVE version you have, output of the uname -a and any other info that might help us faster.

Cannot boot any Linux machine on EVE-NG (New here)

Post by mertino11 » Sat Sep 26, 2020 8:28 pm

As the title says, I am trying to install a desktop ubuntu version on EVE-NG but I am stuck at this screen:

https://gyazo.com/dc9c665e404272155c1c34c6983fd08f

I saw this post saying that he changed his QEMU version from 2.1 to 4.1
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16492&p=26989&hilit=ubuntu#p26989

but then I got this:
https://gyazo.com/edbe81bc6f42e93d17539cc41cce120f

I've assigned 2 vCPUs + 4GB RAM on the server as well.

I've downloaded the image from the official EVE-NG website (Megaupload images) > WINSCP to EVE-NG > used the commands on the EVE-ng website to extract it and during booting it up, it doesn't work.

Anyone that can help me out?

I really want a GUI Linux version since that's easier for me and I wanna work with Ansible.

Many thanks in advance.

Found a solution via this link:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16377&p=26627&hilit=ubuntu#p26627

Remove CDROM on your EVE-NG
Stat EVE-NG and add Linux host
Edit Linux host and change boot-order to cd (as it says in the link > comments above).
Run QEMU 4.1.0!!!
