Can't get EVE connected to another VM on same PC

I am wondering if I need to purchase pro version to do this?

If not does anyone have good detailed steps that I need to take to get this working on workstation player 17? Nothing I do gets me a connection.

No,
any EVE Community or Professional does it.
Issue is how did you connect that external VM to EVE, which cloud used?
