RAM doesn't free up after shutting down routers

Before posting something, READ the changelog, WATCH the videos, howto and provide following:
Your install is: Bare metal, ESXi, what CPU model, RAM, HD, what EVE version you have, output of the uname -a and any other info that might help us faster.

RAM doesn't free up after shutting down routers

Post by Uzair » Fri Sep 14, 2018 1:29 pm

Hello everyone.

I am new to EVE and currently practicing CCIE Security on Eve Community edition. I have a question.

When I shutdown routers or any device in Eve, it doesn't free up the RAM it was using. The only way I noticed was to shutdown the VM and then start again. Is this normal or is there a workaround for this? How about Eve Pro edition?

Your advice is highly appreciated.

Thank you.

It is not EVE issue.

Known issue on VM ware, restart VM ware. Actually it cache RAM but not use it
