CSR1000v sub-interface problems

Post by steak » Wed Dec 12, 2018 2:40 pm

Hello,
I have created a LAB in eve-ng pro (2.0.4-98) with a CSR1000v running Denali 16.03.07. Router boots fine, but cannot communicate over sub-interfaces unless they are set to native. I have spun up four additional routers, each running a different QEMU NIC (e1000, e1000-82545em, virtio-net-pci, vmxnet3, tpl-vmxnet3) but the results are all the same. Deployed from EVE-NG OVA to vSphere 6.5. Appliance adapters are set to VMXNET3.

Behavior sounds very similar to the problem described in the thread below, but i have not yet taken a capture to confirm.

Any ideas?

No Issues in EVE pro with it.

You must create image per our how to, install it from ISO !!!
http://www.eve-ng.net/documentation/how ... li-routers
Denali and Everest has special template.

only vmxnet3 (tpl) or vmxnet3 is right. It does support dot1q.
Your issue could be improperly created image for EVE

I have all versions, Denali, Everest and Fuji working. All images created from ISO.

Thank you for that info!

After deleting the network bridge and recreating it seems to be working with NICs set to VMXNET3.

for sure, if you change NIC on node bridge must be reconnected !
Or as you did delete connection between nodes, set right NIC (vmxnet3) and connect nodes
Thats correct
