Hi folks,
As you know, you can deploy vMX 16.x and higher in EVE-NG un dual mode - one VFP for emulating PFE and one VCP to emulate RE.
However, when an instance of VFP is created with default RAM of 4GB and 3 vCPUs, FPC however operates on "performance mode" by default, which requires 8 CPUs (https://www.juniper.net/documentation/u ... mware.html)
In order to be able to still use FPC, its mode can be changed to "lite mode" by following command -
set chassis fpc 0 lite-mode
commit and-quit
@EVE-NG team,
IMHO including this detail in Juniper vMX guide (https://www.eve-ng.net/index.php/docume ... 16-x-17-x/) would save tons of time for folks.

Hi,
Not sure this makes any difference because Juniper website states

See : https://www.juniper.net/documentation/e ... assis.htmlMake sure you have configured the proper number of vCPUs and memory for your VMs based on your use case. If you have not configured enough vCPUs for performance mode, vMX runs in lite mode.
