EVE-NG Community Edition v2.0.3-92 - run ESXi 6.5 crash pink screen
Hi
I am running EVE-NG Community edition v2.0.3-92 un ESXi 5.5. It runs all good but when I try to run ESXi 6.5 as per the guide (http://www.eve-ng.net/documentation/how ... -ware-esxi), I get the pink screen after sometime when I run another VM, like PAN OS 8.0 on ESXi 6.5.
See the attached file for the crashed pink screen.
Can I know what is the solution to this and to get PAN OS 8.0 run on ESXi 6.5 on EVE-NG?
Thanks in advance.
Mathew.

Re: EVE-NG Community Edition v2.0.3-92 - run ESXi 6.5 crash pink screen
Hi
Thanks for the reply.
I believe my CPU and motherboard supports it - see below spec. Actually, I can run ESXi 6.5 and I can also add and run Palo Alto VM to get access etc. It will only crash after a while - I only see this pink screen.
Do you see as to why it happens, given that CPU supports?
CPU - Intel Xeon E5-2640v4
Board - Supermicro X10DRL-i
RAM - 128G
Disk - 4x250g SSD

hi,
Thanks. I will do that.
I thought live help desk is only for Pro paid version. Mine is Community edition.
It will be tricky to find the time for the crash and I will contact after I get the pick screen so I believe they can check it.
Mathew.

Re: EVE-NG Community Edition v2.0.3-92 - run ESXi 6.5 crash pink screen
Hi UD,
As this issue happens sometimes, I re-installed the whole setup from fresh and this time, I used based ESXi 6.7 licenced version to host EVE-NG.
The ran ESXi 6.5d on EVE-NG. EVE-NG is community edition - 2.0.3-92. Today after 3 days of re-install, I got the pink screen - see the attached screen capture.
I am wondering what is next as I need to get this UP to run to test/build VMs on ESXi for learning purposes.
let me know and I am wondering it is still the live chat/help desk for support.
Regards,
Mathew

Re: EVE-NG Community Edition v2.0.3-92 - run ESXi 6.5 crash pink screen
Hi UD,
Thanks.
That is why I upgraded ESXi 5.5 to 6.7 - and all fresh install.
Do you think it is the base ESXi 6.7 or the 6.5 settings that run on EVE-NG?
Interestingly, when I run ESXi 6.5 on EVE-NG, I see the below messages on console of EVE-NG. Is that normal/expected or not?

Hi UD,
Thanks.
Do you have any idea about the console messages that comes up , as below when ESXi 6.x is run on EVE-NG?
Interestingly, Google search on this shows all the indicators towards bugs on KVM which is in EVE-NG and not anything on ESXi.
