understanding BGP MED

Post by taborn » Wed Dec 20, 2017 6:19 am

I have the following topology below
At present, to get to xr4's loopback addresses ( and, all traffic goes through xr2.

Configure xr4 in such a way that a MED of 200 for is sent to xrv2 from xr4 and a MED of 200 for is sent to xrv3.
Traffic for should be going through xrv2 (from xrv1) and traffic to should be going through xrv3

NOTE: only configs related to MED (including RPL's) is required. IP addresses and neighbourships have already been setup

Hi andreysamign,

this is CCIE section and BGP filtering is contained in CCNP. Route.

Take a look at the chapter:
https://learning.oreilly.com/library/vi ... /ch06.html
-> Create an account with 10 minute email and you''re all set to go.

Then read the chapter and you''ll understand more.

I hope it helps.
