Eve Community Ver 5 - username and password not working

Before posting something, READ the changelog, WATCH the videos, howto and provide following:
Your install is: Bare metal, ESXi, what CPU model, RAM, HD, what EVE version you have, output of the uname -a and any other info that might help us faster.

Eve Community Ver 5 - username and password not working

Hi, I Installed Ver 5 (ISO), community edition. Installation went fine but the the default username of root/eve wasn't working. Any suggestions please ?

you simply did not complete EVE install!
Using Live EVE ISO your EVE must have internet and resolve names, if this is not available you can't install EVE.
EVE install from live ISO has 2 phases
1. Installs Ubuntu
2. it will ask remove media, and reboot, and if your internet and DNS is ok the seecond live phase of EVE will start

You all above has missed that second phase, because issues with your internet
