After starting NGIPS the following error appears:

Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(8,5)

He does not get out of it. The print of the screen is also attached.

I suspect, either you have some partition error or not enough space.

I am not able to simulate your error, tell us about your setup, like hardware, esxi or vmware ws ?

I uploaded the .OVF file to VMware WS, and then converted the .VMDK file to the format .QCOW2. I also tried to convert the .VMDK file directly to .QCOW2, that is, without going up before in VMware WS, presented the same problem!

I did the same procedure for the FTD and FMC versions 6.1 and 6.2, and they will work without any problem!

NGIPS ova must be unpacked and VMDK disc converted to qcow2 format for us in the EVE.
Visit how to section, like Arista vEOOS it is same process

the ova version doesn't work....just download the qcow2 version from Cisco

qcow2 image NGIPS even does not exist, look at cisco screenshot. So this offered image is only ova, which needs to extracted and converted manually to qcow2.
Dont mess it with FTD and FMC which are available as qcow2 from cisco.
and believe me, this converted image works in EVE.
correct NGIPS image name inside folder must be: scsia.qcow2
not hda.

Thank UD. After changing vmdk file to scsia.qcow2, it is working fine. The issue was with file name. Here is the key, use exact same file name "scsia.qcow2".
