Hi,
I have followed the guide to install Ubuntu and EVE-NG.
I had to rename my interfaces to ethx, this worked, I had a ip address on my eth0 interface.
After installing eve-ng it creates the pnetx interfaces. the first interface is bound to eth0 and has my configured ip on it configured (in /etc/network/interfaces).
However, in linux I don't see the pnetx interface, so now I don't have any connectivity. ifconfig show only my lo0 interface, ifconfig -a lists al my ethx interfaces (without any ipv4 adresses).
I am running a DL380G8 with a HP 331FLR network adapter.
Any idea how to get my pnet interfaces working?
Regards, Paul

Re: Bare metal, no pnet interfaces
Hi,
I did follow the install and changed the interface names.
It has been resolved. The problem was, I needed to fill in the dns servers during the install (I left it blank because we dont use dns in that part of the network).
The network start script stopped so that was the reason I did not have any interfaces.
