How to choose Server or PC for EVE, what CPU?

Hello folks,
The EVE Priorities are:
1. CPU, as more cores you have as better, CPU is heart of your EVE, best of you could have Server/PC with dual sockets for e5-2680v4 !!!, you would be a king then
2. Fast HDD like SSD or SHDD, sill drastically improve performance, boot time of nodes, install nodes and running. Response time.
3. AND only then is RAM, you can have 256Gb RAM, but if your CPU will not hold nodes in the lab, your huge RAM becomes useless.
(It is myth, like I have 128Gb RAM and I am king, where your CPU has only 4 cores, it is usless)

PS: my server is DELL R630
dual CPU E5-2650v4 (24 physicals, 48 threads)
192GB RAM
4x2Tb SSD HDDs
Running ESXI 6.7 and till today I can carry all what I want, cleverly thinking of course.
EVE VM:
48 CPU (threads)
160GB RAM
2TB SSD

100xCSRv1000 nodes of course will not run, and for technology test or POC you neednot 100.

EVE VM has 2TB dedicated hdd,
rest are for other needs in esxi

Having 24 physicals, 48 threads CPU, how many CPU did u tell your Vmware box do u have ? and how many threads do you take under consideration when calculating with Eve-calculator excel sheet?
in other words, Do I take total of threads or cores into consideration when building lab?

48/1 CPUs for my EVE
Even beside is winserver 2016 with 2 threads

I'm choosing a Ryzen 9 - 3950X (16C/32T) with 128 GB RAM because of Power consumption. Threadripper consumes much more power.

1 SATA SSD for OS
1 NVME M2 for Data (images, projects..)

At what cost did you purchase that dell r 630 server? It must be consuming high electricity?
Could you please tell me your server configs with price . I am confused whether to purchase desktop or server like yours..

I just got a new Windows Server 2016 Datacenter. I tried to install EVE-NG on it but I could not assign the full size of disk to the root file system. The swap takes 120GB and the root takes only 6.5GB

Also, I am using Hyper-V Manager to create the VM. If you have a guide on how you build your machine, I would really appreciate it.

is there a way to change/tweak the swap memory .

We have a very intensive lab with windows server , ISE , ASAv , including 12 IOL , 24 qemu an d 6 docker
We have 44 cores , 96 RAM 1.2 T storage . The cores and memory status is 80% the disk is 20% but the swap memory is 100%.
The user experience is slow...
