I've setup vMX 18.2R1.9m with dual RE and FPC following this guide
https://jncie.eu/how-to-deploy-vmx-with ... ve-ng-kvm/
However, it looks like you cannot ping to other devices. As per attached topology vcp-re0 cannot ping directly connected routers.
root@vMX-VCP-re0# run ping rapid 10.0.0.2
PING 10.0.0.2 (10.0.0.2): 56 data bytes
.....
--- 10.0.0.2 ping statistics ---
5 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss
The FPC is online and working.
root@vMX-VCP-re0# run show chassis fpc
Temp CPU Utilization (%) CPU Utilization (%) Memory Utilization (%)
Slot State (C) Total Interrupt 1min 5min 15min DRAM (MB) Heap Buffer
0 Online Testing 55 0 52 53 39 511 31 0
I always use vmX 14.1x version, but wanted to get familiar with GRES and NSR hence using this setup.

Re: vMX-VCP/VFP no network connectivity
Seem to have fixed it, looks like the issue is when you add the metadata image to the VFP folder to create the image.
To create the vFP just use the vFP image as per the eve-ng guide.
root@eve-ng:/opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/vmxvfp-18.2R1.9-VFP# ls
virtioa.qcow2
do not add the metadata image for fpc like the above website mentioned, this seems to cause network connectivity to break. And besides doubt any would need more than 8 interfaces anyway
