VMWare error after enabling EVC

Post by piqu » Fri Oct 16, 2020 10:01 am

Hello,

I have a EVE-NG Pro edition that is running on a cluster of ESX 6.5, managed by a vcenter 6.7.

I have let's say ESX1, ESX2, ESX3, ESX4. EVE-NG is located on ESX4, with multiple disks store on ESX4. Recently we enabled EVC on this cluster, to be able to do some vmotion between host with different CPU.
We have the following CPUs :
ESX1 Intel Xeon E5-2640
ESX2 Intel Xeon Sivler 4114
ESX3 Intel Xeon Silver 4114
ESX4 Intel Xeon E5-2670 v2

Now that EVC is enable on the cluster, I am not able to boot EVE-NG on the same ESX4 (without talking about vmotion). The error in VMWare is "The target host does not support the virtual machine's current hardware requirements".

Does anyone experienced a similar issue or has an idea to solve this ?

Many thanks.

Pierre
