Hi
I cannot for the life of me get a host connected to the outside world i.e. outside of VMware workstation .
My setup is eve-ng com 2.0.3-112 running on VMware workstation 16 Pro on a Linux Mint 20 host
VMs connected to the same VNET in VMware WS can get DHCP addresses OK and access internet
cloud1 > eth1 in EVE-ng > VNET7 > PHY nic on linux mint
root@eve-ng:~# ifconfig | grep eth
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0c:29:5c:20:11
eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0c:29:5c:20:1b
root@eve-ng:~#
Everythig on EVE-NG "just works" except this and is frustrating...
Any help would be appreciated!!
Thanks
TLR

Re: Cloud1 not connecting to VMware WS vnet
Issue resolved
Started VMware workstation as root and everything worked as it should - VMs got DHCP address and can talk to the internet
Now just got to work out how to put NICs into promiscuous mode in userland
EVE-NG is awesome, just moved from 10+ years with GNS3
