Hi,

I am having trouble with some IOL images that always load when using touch NETMAP, however, more often than not when trying to load them in a lab, the router lights blue for a few seconds and then goes back to grey. It is strange that when I try to load them in either an existing or new lab that if the image does not load but if I immediately use touch NETMAP they load inside the CLI.

The images are -
i86bi-linux-l3-ipbase-12.4.bin
L3-ADVENTERPRISE9-15.5.2T.bin
L3-ADVENTERPRISEK9-M-15.2-M5.3.bin

Other IOLL2 images load every time.

Server Dell PoweEdge R710

Eve running in ESXI 6.7.0
VT-X - Enabled ( This is must to run most of the nodes). How do I check this?

Update - this is happening on all images.

you chosen images are very OLD and 15.5.2T is worst ever L3 image, please check below link for version recommendations

I have followed the instructions in this guide and generated the license file (including the semicolon). I fixed permissions.

I am trying to boot up L3-ADVENTERPRISEK9-M-15.4-2T.bin which is one of the recommended images, but it still stops right after starting.

I also tried several other images and I tried doubling the memory as well. Our Eve-Pro is installed on a physical server.

If anyone has any insight on this it would be greatly appreciated.

as UD told you , you're using old versions of IOL that are known to have issues. Get iol versions listed in our how to.

Read my post above. I am not the OP and like I said, I have used a version that is in the supported list - L3-ADVENTERPRISEK9-M-15.4-2T.bin

I worked with another engineer on this as well and he was unable to get IOL or even a vIOS router to boot.

He told me the vIOS router we tried was built in and should definitely work but I am not sure if that is true or not - vios-adventerprise9-m-15.6.2.T

I am trying to get someone to check if virtualization is enabled or not in BIOS.

How do I find logs with specifics on what error it is encountering?
