What is the recommended way to create a bootable disk from Ubuntu for baremetal ?

I have tried startup disk creator and Balena bot create the disk but no joy.
I have tried Eveng pro and community but no joy.

Reading docs there is no info on how to create the USB and forum recommends rufus,but that is windows.

What am I missing ?

Update.I think this is a UEFI issue.Rufus writes the correct partition for UEFI boot compatibility. I will have to test.

which os are you on ?

Remember to exercise caution when using the dd command, as it can erase data if used incorrectly. Maketunnel rush sure to double-check the device name before running the command.
