I am following the instructions in the LVM manual and in Step 6. Create LVM group, Create volume group (LVM), the disk should be visible but it isn't.
Any idea what is going on? The previous steps worked till Step 6. It is just a single disk connected to the onboard SATA port so it should be visible.
Thank you,
Cannot select disk to create Volume Group

Re: Cannot select disk to create Volume Group
Pardon me I made an error in my post.
I preserved the single disk installation in case...
Now I installed two disks and I want the LVM across two disks.
I followed the manual till step 6. and when I tap "Create volume group (LVM), I don't see the disk listed.
Why not?

What do you mean with redoing?
I am already doing it for a whole day and I don't see the disk listed...

Re: Cannot select disk to create Volume Group
Why do I have to use the CLI if the graphical setup should do it for you and how do I use the CLI while I am in the middle of the setup, doesn't make sense.
It's always the same with linux, it's never straightforward.
I like FreeBSD much more than Linux, it has a crappy manual as most information is obsolete but it's better than that Linux trash.
The disks are visible in the beginning of the setup but they aren't when I create the Volume group.
Can you provide me the concrete steps how to setup up LVM across two disks?
I thank you sincerely,
