Ubuntu applying updates

We are running bare metal Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS (GNU/Linux 6.7.5-eveng-6-ksm+ x86_64)
Can updates be applied with apt dist-upgrade vs apt upgrade?

Yes, in some cases you can when apt update not is getting updates. Do not run do-release-upgrade cause it will upgrade your ubuntu to 24.x

I understand that do-release-upgrade should not be ran.
I wanted to make sure that there are no issues running dist-upgrade on the server.

dist-upgrade is fine
