I am helping a friend install eve-ng on his box (esxi 5.5)
we have ran into a an issue The Intel VT-x is not available inside the guest OS

Does anyone know how to enable nested vm's on vpshere?

First of all you have to mentioned what CPU, If Intel new generation CPU then follow below steps.

Loging to vsphere web client, stop the EVE-NG VM.
Edit settings and CPU, enable as mentioned below screen shot.

I am running a Power Edge 1950
2 cps E5450
64 gb ram

Esi 5.5 ( Going to try 6.5 to see that web client)

This CPU does not support EPT !!!!!!!!!!!
Useless for eve

Hi Guys,

I have the same Power Edge 1950 with 2 Xeon E5410 that´s not has support for Interl VT

But you can use this server to run EVE-NG in 2 case bellow(it´s work for me)

1 - Install Ubuntu and install VMware Workstation and run EVE ovf
2 - Install eve as bare metal installation, it´s works fine two

I tried to use EVE-NG with Esxi 5.0/5.5/6.0/6.5 and don´t work.

Intel VT is not supported on E5410
as well
