New application for working/studing using EVE-NG or real case/topology

Post by juniorpolegato » Sun Apr 19, 2026 12:31 am

Hey Folks! 👋

I've been developing a new application to support my CCNA/CCNP studies, and I'd love to share it with the community.

Pyqttyia is an open-source terminal tool designed for network administrators to connect to devices via Telnet/SSH. It features independent scripting support for Cisco, EVE-NG, Linux, and more — with a modern dark UI built in Python + Qt.
✨ Key Features

Multi-device tabbed sessions (Telnet & SSH)
Script editor with Cisco IOS syntax highlighting and line numbers
Send scripts to all devices simultaneously
Full ANSI terminal emulation
Interactive topology viewer — load your network diagram and click directly on devices to open their sessions
Built-in map editor — draw, drag, resize and name device hotspots over your topology image, then export as JSON
Workspace save/load
Catppuccin Mocha dark theme

📖 I'm finishing the documentation and will release the source code on GitHub soon.

🤖 What's next? My goal is to integrate AI to assist network administrators directly within Pyqttyia (Python + Qt + TTY + AI).

💬 If anyone has suggestions or feature requests, I'm very open to feedback!

Hi everyone!

I've been working hard on growing this system, and Pyqttyai now brings native intelligence directly into your networking workflow. No more jumping between multiple disconnected windows—everything you need is mapped into a single unified workspace.

💡 Key Features Built to Speed Up Your Configurations:
  • Unified UI: Interaction with your topology map, script editor, and active TTY console seamlessly side-by-side.
  • Intelligent NLP: Advanced regex-based natural language processing to parse commands intelligently.
  • AI Voice Transcription: Speak your commands directly into the terminal using local or cloud-based AI models.
  • Built for Scale: Perfect as a highly interactive study environment or a robust real-world configuration management tool.
