Can I upload to my simulated devices-- normal Cisco IOS, instead of VIRL IOS?

My enterprise has many already downloaded production router OSs. Can i use these for EVENG, or must i only use VIRL images?

Answer is NO, you can not use IOS HW deedicated images.
Last IOS dedicated for HW which was supported on virtual platforms is:
cisco 1700
cisco 3725
cisco 7206

Thats it.
All new IOS for HW can not be run on any of virtual platforms.
Instead better image will be CSR1000v it is virtual router which mostly supports all high end router XE IOS features
