How Do I Set Up a Simple Lab with Cisco Switches in EVE-NG?

Post by amphora » Tue Apr 08, 2025 8:23 am

Hi all! I’m new to EVE-NG and trying to build my first lab for CCNA practice. I want to connect two Cisco switches and test basic VLANs, but I’m stuck on adding them to the topology. Do I need specific IOS images, and how do I get them running? Any step-by-step tips or common newbie mistakes to avoid? Thanks for the help—super excited to dive in!

Best is to start with cisco iol images. You can get the names from our how to
https://www.eve-ng.net/index.php/docume ... -on-linux/
and google them online. Then follow the how to, upload them and create iourc license (which you also should google).
