Hello,
I want to switch to EVE from GNS3 and I prefer to do it under Linux.
My question is regarding Bare Install instead of Ubuntu can I use Mint, e.g. 18.3, which is based on Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial?

VM ware workstation then...
Natively under desktop linux EVE will be very hard to install and it is not officially supported by EVE
