Juniper vMX Incorrect Interface Mapping

Hi there,

I have just found a small issue with Juniper vMX interface mapping.

Current mapping in GUI is (which is correct):

1st interface: em0/fxp0
2nd interface: em1/int
3rd interface: em2/ge-0/0/0
4th interface: em3/ge-0/0/1

Current mapping whilst using JunOS is:

1st interface: em0/fxp0
2nd interface: em1/int
3rd interface: em2/?????? <- definitely doesn't map to 0/0/0, no idea where it goes.
4th interface: em3/ge-0/0/0
5th interface: em4/ge-0/0/1

I have tested using software version 15.x/16.x/17.x/18.x

I believe that the current mapping that EVE-NG uses is perhaps some legacy mapping.

3rd interface should definitely map to 0/0/0 as per GUI, however, that doesn't happen now.

Thanks,

Thanks.

I have tried the following versions, and all have the same issue for me. What version of EVE/QEMU are you running?

Code: Select all

16.2R1.6
17.1R1.8
17.3R2.10
17.4R1.16
18.2R1.9

EVE-NG version: 2.0.3-95
QEMU version: 2.4.0

In the chat I had answered that on both EVE Community and Pro these nodes works fine.
You are trying setup vMX with multi VCP nodes connected to single RE. Yes possible, but advanced setup then.
for how to I need time to prepare it
I will contact to Chris who already made it and will do Official HowTo
