Manage node in LAB through API

Hello everyone,
I don't know if this kind of question has already been asked (if yes, please redirect me
)
So, here his my feature suggestion :
I read the Eve-NG API documentation and there is already many possibilites to interact with a running LAB (add a node, start/stop/wipe it, add network, etc) but, as part of automation, would it be possible to add a function to interact directly with a running node ?
I think to a call allowing to shutdown/activate an interface, add some delay/loss/jigger to it
What do you think ?
