additonal Hard disk to linux node

Hi,
I am trying to add additional hard disk to my Linux node. Primary hard disk is 50 gb hda.qcow2 and i am adding second hard disk with hdb.qcow2. After added the second hard drive boot my linux vm and check the gparted software but i cant find the other hard disk. tried all possible ways but could it get done.
