Server or pc for eve-ng lab?

Hello, I am planning to assemble a powerful desktop where i can run eve-ng lab over VMware Workstation which includes big devices like nexus 9k, csr etc. but also somewhere i saw people discussing about servers and installing eve-ng over that directly. Now i am confused, which one would be good? considering power consumption and also can run big nodes like this smoothly. Pls suggest
