"Failed to start node (12)" error

Post by arpitpandit » Wed Apr 10, 2019 12:26 pm

Hi,

I uploaded an IOL image to /opt/unetlab/addon/iol/bin and ran the python2 script. Also after that I created the ~/.iourc file

after the "fixpermission" I tried to load the IOS using the touch NETMAP and the LD_LIBRARY_PATH command and EVERYTHING is perfect as the IOL boots properly.

but when I try to add a router in the LAB in browser and start it, first it shows the error "Failed to start node (12)" the first time. When I try again it says the node is started but doesn't actually starts the node.

I have tried it with different IOL images and by changing the NVRAM and RAM assignment but no luck.

What am I missing here?

I am using EVE-NG on VmWare Player and the Dynamips 3725 works perfectly so I don't think it's an issue with base configuration of EVE-NG. Please Help

the EVE-NG version I am using is 4.9.40-eve-ng-ukms-2+

Thanks

for sure it is fix permissions issue...
advice..
make sure if all permissions are fixed,
create new lab and try.

another issue is if you have not fully updated your eve, something simply missed...

I used the “/opt/unetlab/wrapper/unl_wrapper -a fixpermissions” command many times. Made new lab also. Changed IOS. Don’t know what’s wrong here

How do I update the eve?
