Image template parameters

Post by rubenig80 » Sat Jul 25, 2020 8:10 pm

Hi,
I am part of the Aruba switching TME team and I am working on the new Aruba CX Virtual Switch image template
In the template I was able to change the CPU, RAM, port number, and more. However, I was wondering if there is a way to
change the default QEMU version to 4.1.0.

Thank you in advance.
Best Regards,
Ruben Iglesias.-

Hi Uldis,
1. Yes, I edited the template and I was able to change many parameters: CPUs, RAM, number of ports and machine type. However, I don't see how to change the QEMU version. According to our tests, 4.1.0 seems to be the best option, but the default is 2.4.0.

I also tried to follow your video on how to make changes to one node and use it to change the virtioa.qcow2... but it didn't change this particular parameter.

SO, is it possible to change the default?

2. About the machine type, do you have a recommendation for a virtual switch like the Aruba CX?

Thank you!
Regards, Ruben.-
