Hi,
I havent tested Olive yet - are the other nodes working as expected? Have you tried to re-upload your image?

But a personal question: Why use Olive? vSRX (Firefly) can do the same (and more) - just curious

Hi Chris, Mike

Thank you.

I didn't know much about the different between Olive and vSRX because I am new with Juniper device.
Thanks

Olive is very very old device used in old days in GNS for Juniper M router simulation.
Now are vMX, vSRX, vSRXNG and vQFX..
so switch to new tech mate...
Just advice
EVE will terminate Olive soon as well..

hi,

i have olive 12.1r1.9 and vmx installed in eve.
olive has advantages in the small amount of ram it needs. it can run with 256M ram, cmiiw, compared to 2048 in vmx.
btw, default ram in olive template is 4G, but it is editable.

so, depends on your need. if your need is fulfilled with olive, you should give it a try.
thanks.

I think we can use vSRX as a router to replace vMX or Olive.

Someone has posted.

To put SRX into packet-mode, use

delete security
set security forwarding-options family mpls mode packet-based
set security forwarding-options family iso mode packet-based
set security forwarding-options family inet6 mode packet-based
Thanks

Btw vmx is edible as far as ram goes!!! I run it with 1gb
