Cloud connectivity

Post by Pcpaulh » Wed Jun 07, 2017 8:27 am

Good morning, I'm having a problem with connectivity to the cloud interfaces from within the topology.

Tested with a windows server and Cisco IOSv. Devices aren't picking up an adress via DHCP and if I statically assign they cannot ping outside of the topology.
I've taken a few screenshots. EVE can ping external VMs connected to either vmnet11 or vmnet12. I'm assuming that in my setup Cloud1 is vmnet11 and cloud2 is vmnet12. As you can see EVE is getting a DHCP IP assigned to eth1 and eth2.

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

Pnet interface from pnet1-9 NO NEED any IP configured on it, all pnet interfaces are bridge interface only !!!!
so if you have second interface on EVE is vmnet11, means that it is bridged with vmnet11 and IP addressing will work on cloud1 same what is assigned on vmnet11.
be sure that you these NICs installed on your PC under network settings

Hi thanks. So, I've statically assigned IP addresses on the nodes within EVE (W2k12R2 and 1 x IOSv). I have an external Windows VM connected to VMnet11 too (also statically assigned).

Frome EVE i can ping all devices in the vmnet11 subnet including the external VM and the windows host running VMware Workstation.
From the Host PC I can ping the external VM and the EVE vmnet11 interface.
The devices in the topology cannot ping each other but can ping the EVE server. The router shows correct ARP entries for the devices it cannot PING.

All firewalls are off.

Any further ideas?

Thanks in advance
